Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter
The Journey
The panorama is dominated by the majestic peaks of Mt. Everest (8,848.86m), Mt. Makalu (8,643m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), Mt. Thamserku (6,800m), Mera Peak (6,654m), and Island Peak (6,189m).
Embark on the Everest Base Camp trek, an iconic trail that beckons mountain enthusiasts in search of the ultimate challenge. This journey leads you to the remote realm of the world’s highest mountain, tracing the historic footsteps of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary’s monumental Mt. Everest summit expedition in 1953. The trek begins at Phaplu and follows the wide and well-marked trail that winds through Sherpa villages, alpine forests, suspension bridges, and deep river gorges, offering an immersive experience for trekkers. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, the trail transforms into a rugged and remote terrain, with primitive accommodations at higher altitudes.
Conclude your adventure with a scenic helicopter return to Kathmandu. This is a once-in-a-lifetime journey, where every step unveils the grandeur of the Himalayas.
*NOTE: Reaching heights of 5,364 meters, this is considered a strenuous trek with a high risk of altitude sickness that demands optimal health. We highly recommended to undergo a thorough medical checkup prior and secure travel insurance covering emergency helicopter evacuation for unforeseen circumstances.
